Have stayed at Trailshead 3 times. It is a one-stop location having lodging, food, gas, and on the trail. I would like to see coffee makers, small fridges, and a microwave in the cabins. I understand the owners have a reason for not having the above appliances. I still give 5 stars because the owners are hands on and provide everything needed .

Wonderful place, family owned. We had the homemade brisket, Amazing!! Owners are very nice and their children are nice and polite. The lodge is out in the beautiful Black Hills. All you see is mountains and wildlife. This is a must see place. We will be coming back, often!!!

Stopped in to buy a trail map. Spoke with owner who was very helpful. We came back next day to ride ATVs and stopped in to ask permission to park across highway in grassy field. Owner was very helpful with directions on how to get to trails safely. Stopped back in for lunch. Best sloppy joes ever! Owner and wife were very friendly and happy to answer all our questions about the area. Will definitely be back.

Haven't been there since the new owners took over but I'm sure they will be a lot friendlier than the previous owners, hope to make a trip out there again soon!

The new owners at Trailshead are absolutely fantastic! They’ve got the best customer service and mouthwatering food. The new menu is simply incredible! I personally recommend the brisket. They’re even renting UTV’s now, which is super exciting!

The atmosphere that the new owners have crafted at Trailshead Lodge is incredibly welcoming and inviting! This place has always been our go-to stop, but now, with the addition of the exciting new menu items, it has truly captured our hearts with its delightful variety. We can't wait to come back and experience all the amazing changes!
